While veiny veins are veining
Life under the ground, so that
Not everybody could love
But the instinct pushes all around
To be roommates with the root and the ground.
A year or two,
May we ponder upon
The Mother Earth
While her womb, warm,
Keeps me, you, us
While the frozen heart freezes
In this heavy, winter hour?
The juice,
While it drops
Over the rigid face,
Now,
While veiny veins are veining
Souls soulless are fighting
Tired, hurting and dark,
And wounds hurt
Let the aches ache
Without a shame
Let the happiness be lonely alone
The orchestra is here
Song it does not fear
Strings string
They are wondering the wonder
Over there
Because they are not too keen on life
While others, like us,
In agony, pain and death,
Push away the fear
And carry on...carry on...
Paths
Toward the freedom lead
Feet,
And not just a pair, but a whole fleet,
Worthy of freedom
Arms, legs
Unison to unison
United they are now
And a joyful sorrow rules:
Life will live
Remembrance remember
Us by the good,
Them by the evil;
We will be
But they shan’t ever again.
